The University of Toronto has announced that Dr. Eric Jackman has donated $5 million to the Institute of Child Study – a landmark gift in Canada for early development and childhood education.

November 24, 2010 Vancouver General Hospital Receives $12M Donation
British Columbians facing the challenge of mental illness will find new hope thanks to a historic donation in support of a new Mental Health Pavilion at Vancouver General Hospital (VGH). The generous donation of $12 million by Joe & Rosalie Segal will go toward establishing a new pavilion that will be an important and integral part of the province’s mental health services according to VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation president Ron Dumouchelle.
